“For me, the concept of bread is incredibly familiar, growing up in Eastern Europe, fresh bread was a staple of every meal, my earliest errands would be to run down to the bakery and pick up a loaf of fresh bread. Very often by the time I got home, there would be a hole picked out or a chunk of crust missing, as I couldn't resist the temptation of a fresh, warm loaf. It was really fun for us to revisit bread as an object, rather than food and investigate it visually. I suppose it's an ode of sorts.”
