Sigurd Grünberger
Drawing from Aristotle's reflection on the soul and body, the work explores the tension between the tangible and the metaphorical. The real candle and its glass counterpart question whether we can ever fully separate the essence of something from its outward form. The flame, like the soul, is not merely the visible, nor is the glass simply a physical shell. Together, they embody a metaphor within a metaphor, where one cannot be fully understood without the other.
